Axia apprentices in young apprentice of the year finals!

Young Apprentice Award Finalists 2018

Two young Axia learners are finalists in the "Young Employee/Apprentice of the year" category at next month's awards ceremony at the county showground for the Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce Awards evening.

Allana Burgess is one of our most dedicated learners at Wade Ceramics, working towards an Engineering apprenticeship level 3. To see her flourish in this role has been a privilege and a joy.

Reece Poole is another hardworking apprentice engineer at our apprenticeship partner, North Staffs Engineering Group. He has gone from strength to strength whilst on his apprenticeship, and it's fantastic to see his hard work being recognised by the chambers.

"We are thrilled to be developing local talent to shine through within local industry such as engineering.

Apprenticeships should have a positive effect on our community and that is what we continue to to do here at Axia."

The finalists will now go through a work-based review stage by a panel of judges, as well as attend the pre-awards dinner and drinks with the Staffordshire Chambers for a social gathering and an additional event to shine and meet the other candidates and judges. This is a rigorous process which will set the winners apart from the rest to win the coveted trophy!
