Join Us in Making a Difference!

This week, we’re inviting all apprentices to come together and log 100 hours of volunteering as we celebrate 100 years of Stoke-on-Trent! Let’s unite our efforts to give back to our community and showcase the incredible spirit of our apprentices. Don’t worry if you are not based in Stoke on Trent, we'd still like you to volunteer and give back to your community.

There Are So Many Ways to Volunteer – Here Are Just a Few to Get You Started:

Organise a Team Activity

  • Plan an office bake sale and donate proceeds to charity
  • Set up a food drive or hygiene product collection for a local charity
  • Host a “lunch and learn” with a guest speaker from a local charity
  • Run a clothing or toy donation campaign

Support a Local Cause

  • Volunteer at a local foodbank or soup kitchen
  • Help out at an animal rescue centre (walking dogs, cleaning, etc.)
  • Support a local community garden or allotment project
  • Help paint/refresh a community centre
  • Share specific skills you may have. E.g. if you’re into STEM, can you run a STEM session for a youth group, or could you review a business plan or policies for a small organisation?

Go Informal

  • Organise or join a community litter pick
  • Help a neighbour with shopping, gardening, or errands
  • Cook a meal for someone in need or a local support group
  • Write letters or create care packages for care homes or hospital patients
  • Collect and donate books for local libraries or schools

No idea is too small. Every hour matters, and every act of kindness counts!

What's next?
